1 . Ouça a gravação e indique quem:

3 . Ouça a gravação novamente e indique se a pessoa está sendo informal ou formal.

Grammar: Polite requests

Lembre-se: quando queremos pedir um favor a alguém, usamos Would you mind  + verbo na forma –ing .

4 . Imagine que você está nas situações abaixo. Faça um pedido usando exemplos dessa lição.

1 You are on the bus. A stranger lights a cigarette. Smoking is not allowed. What do you say?

2 You are in a supermarket. There is something on a top shelf that you cannot reach. Ask a shop assistant to get it down for you.

3 You are in a restaurant. You want the bill. What do you say to the waiter?

4 Your boss is in a very bad mood today. You want to go for an early lunch. What do you say?

5 Your neighbour is playing his music very loudly. You are trying to work. Ask him to turn the music down.
