Grammar: sorry
As preposições about e for geralmente vêm após o adjetivo sorry.
I’m sorry about the noise I made.
We are sorry for what happened.
They are sorry for being late.
Porém, os verbos apologise e forgive são acompanhados de for.
He apologised for waking her. Forgive me for not recognising you.
To feel sorry for someone significa ter pena de alguém.
I feel sorry for Paul because he is very lonely.
