Grammar: Questions about the past (1)

Quando fazemos perguntas sobre o passado e esperamos uma resposta do tipo yes / no, usamos did + sujeito + verbo no infinitivo.

Did you spend all your money?
Yes, I did.

Ou was / were + sujeito + adjetivo.

Were you late for work? No, I wasn’t.
