1 . Como você costuma descrever as orientações nas placas de trânsito abaixo em português?

2 . Você ouvirá seis pessoas pedindo orientações. Determine para onde cada uma tem de ir e, em seguida anote.

Números ordinais

Em inglês formamos a maioria dos números ordinais pelo acréscimo de -th ao número cardinal. No entanto, existem algumas exceções: first, second e third. A lista a seguir mostra as formas numéricas e por extenso dos números cardinais e dos ordinais correspondentes.

Usamos números ordinais para expressar datas, assim como para dar informações sobre direção.

My birthday is on the ninth of September.

It’s the fifth turning on the right.

first (numeral) = primeiro

fourth (numeral) = quarto

left (adjetivo) = esquerdo

left-handed = pessoa que escreve com a mão esquerda

right (adjetivo) = direito

right-handed = pessoa que escreve com a mão direita

sports hall (substantivo) = centro esportivo

straight on (advérbio) = direto

theatre/theater (substantivo) = teatro
